Myself and my husband decided to put together an informative site about the American Pit Bull Terrier. I first fell in love with this breed as a child. As I grew I fostered mainly Pit Bull and Pit mix pups from our local shelter. It just broke my heart seeing how many homeless, abused and neglected Pit Bulls are out there. Also how many Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes are put to sleep in shelters all across the U.S. in just one day. Just for being a Pit Bull. They have committed no crime, they do not know wrong from right as we humans do. If anyone is to blame it is the owner. How they raise and treat mans best friend. The only thing this breed wants more than anything is to please their owner. It disgusts me how people can do such things to this breed and other breeds as well. As you can tell I'm extremely passionate when it comes to this breed. I could go on and on, but back to the statement at hand. I got my first Pit Bull when I was a young teen and have owned this breed ever since. My husband got into this breed as well when we started dating. He also fell in love with them. So my hope is that this site will help people understand this breed better and know them for the clowns and lovers that they really are. A true companion.
A little about us:
My name is Ashten. I pretty much do the updates to the website and add the submissions that we get. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, but hopefully going back to work in the new year. My husband, Brian, is behind all of the html work on our site. He's absolutly great with what he does. We have a 5 year old daughter, Aurora. We live in Northeastern, Pennsylvania. We currently a 'PR' UKC Pit Bull pup named Khaos who will be 2 year old on Nov. 15th. 2010.
