Best dogs ever! We received Laihla from the site owners, Brian & Ashten. They took Laihla�s pregent mother from a bad home. After rasing the 4 puppies, Asthen had them listed for adoption to find them proper homes. Laihla was the last one left & as soon as we saw her picture we knew she was the Pit for us. We drove 2 hours to go meet her & ended up leaving with her on 11/09/08.

I found Bonnie on the Dogs In Danger website and she only had 5 days left. I was drawn to her beautiful face and I knew I had to save her. The only problem was she was in a shelter in California just passed Sacramento. Well long story short I got someone to get her out of the shelter, hold her for a week and then I drove down there from Washington and picked her up. She has been with us for the last 5 months co-existing with 5 other dogs. They told me she was very alpha. She can be a little bossy but nothing serious. Well we just found out Bonnie has Lymphoma and will not be with us much longer. At least she got a home to live her final days in.

Trytin is the newest addition to our family. After losing Toro I wanted to get a pup to raise. We found Trytin at our local Humane Soceity with his 10 brothers and sisters. They were born there. So we took 4 of them home to foster and I knew Trytin was the one for us because he had a great temperment and his markings were similar to Toro. Just not as much white and a little more orange brindle. The biggest thing are the 2 sideways T's he has on his chest. He is a great boy and I believe he will be an ambassador for the breed.

This is "Chief" originally named Meaty. He is a 13 month Pit mix with a very unique coat and personality to match. I am Dan Lucero. I am stationedat NAS Patuxent River. Shortly after I checked in for duty here I met an awesome lady named Lora. Lora has devoted a huge chunk of her life to the well being of dogs with an affinity to the bully breed. Because of my military position and requirements I was unable to foster any pets however, I was able to make rounds to the local kennels and give my spare time to those dogs in lock up. One day I got an email with an emergency placement. A 6 and a half month old Chief was slated to be put down but one of the employees was so smitten by him she decided to take him home and that is when Second Hope came into the picture. When the msg. popped in my in-box and having done some volunteer work with the associated organization I couldn't let this wonderful dog be put in a foster home that was already busting at the seems with other foster dogs. There is so much more to this story but the short of it is that this dog is a very special boy. He is the happiest little guy I've ever met. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. I'm very fortunate that he decided to adopt me.

Got the privledge of pruchasing her from a breeder who had chose her as the pick of the litter. After she destroyed their couch at the ripe age of 11 weeks old. Since I have had her she has never chewed anything aside from her own toys. I have trained her in 2 seperate languages with English being the second. Very obedient and loving. Now she is waiting for her little "sister" to be born and get to be of legal age to purchase. She wants everyone to know that she is honored to be on these pages with the other bullies. Lounging around the house and going on road trips are her favortie things to do.

My best friend. I fostered a lot of Pit Bulls from a rescue. When I got King to foster he was 6 weeks old from a litter of 12 pups. All black and white (he's the most black male from litter). He literally jumped out of all the rest and said take me home, so I did. He was mine from that point on there was no giving him back. My first dog of my own. He's my King so that was what he was named. He's a funny little bugger. A little taller then most, but he's 68lbs. of lean muscle now 2 years old. I will never own another breed other then the Pit Bull. He's my protector and friend till the end!

My ex-fiance and I decided to get a puppy for my birthday. He was 6 weeks old and the fattest thing you have seen. He looked so dominating that I wanted to name him Goliath, but I soon realized that Rebel was more suitable. He was smart and attentive. And soooo playful. He loved to run and jump. God could he jump. Rebel was extremly loyal to us no matter what. Where we went he went. We had him for 2 almost 3 years when my ex and I broke up. In the end I got him, but soon found out that was a mistake. Where I was living I couldnt have him, so I sent him to my moms in Oklahoma City. Rebel was already traumatized from the cops in Ardmore shooting him in the leg 2 days before. Yes shooting him because he would not obey them and stop running around the neighborhood. And no, he did not threaten anyone or bite, he just ran. Once he made it to Oklahoma City, Mom put him in her backyard and went shopping. Not even 3 hours in someone stole him. 2 weeks before christmas. I cried for a month. He was always there to show me love when no one else would. He was always there to keep me warm when no one else could. He was my baby and I still miss him after a year and a half. Rebel was the best pet I have ever had, and I can say I truely miss him like I lost the love of my life.

I am the proud owner of Champ. He is about a year old I think. He came into our lives on February 19th, 2009. He was either a runaway or let out by an owner who couldn't deal with him. After putting up found dog posters for 2 weeks we decided to keep him. I have always had dogs but never a Pit. He is amazing. Also, he is the most affectionate dog that I've ever encountered and the most stubborn. Your web site has been our main source of info on how to raise Champ. Definitely unique to it's breed requiring a little different training than other dogs. My wife and I love him so much. Thanks again for all of the guidance that you unknowingly gave us. Your website has helped us train him to be a well adjusted, lovable, fun, athletic, shiny coated, goofy dog. Enjoy the pictures. He is probably one of the most photographed Pits in the world. Thank you for your work in promoting the true Pit Bull. Attached, please find pictures of my two APBT's. These dogs are like family to us and travel with us everywhere. As another guest posted regarding her dog, these two are also tremendous ambassadors for the breed. I can't count the number of times I've been told I can't believe they're Pit Bulls'! Our dog's names are Nakita (white female) and Dakota (brindle male). In the first picture, the kids are getting ready to go trick or treating. The second picture is of Nakita guarding my friend's new born baby. The third is Nakita as a puppy. Forth is Dakota getting ready for big college football game..and last one is of Nakita and her mother napping. I've owned dogs my entire life. As a child, I grew up breeding German Sheppard's.
